Cheap NFL Jerseys On Sale

Of the seven NFL teams in the market for new head coaches as of Monday, two are entering almost-uncharted territory. The Chicago Bears haven’t been here for nine years, the Philadelphia Eagles for 14. As grim and unpleasant as the task was for both teams, neither could mask at least a hint of pride that this was an abnormal act for them.  “Usually for 14 years, I’m at home watching teams have to make changes with their head coaches,’’ Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said, somewhat hesitantly, as he announced Andy Reid’s firing. “Today, we’re in that position. This is the first time in 14 years that’s been the case.’’ Cheap NFL Jerseys On Sale

It’s the classic paradox. Franchises stay stable at head coach when it reaches Super Bowls, makes the playoffs, contends most years and keep expectations high. Yet none of that happens unless … franchises choose stability at head coach. Make smart hires. Have vision. Don’t pull the plug at the first sign of trouble.  That’s why the Eagles and Bears are on unfamiliar turf.  The Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs? They know the drill. Too well.  Respectively, Pat Shurmur lasted two seasons.Cheap NFL Jerseys On Sale Chan Gailey lasted three. Romeo Crennel survived one season plus three games. The next head coach for each franchise will be the third in five years (not including one interim coach in Buffalo after Dick Jauron was fired nine games into 2009).  To the surprise of absolutely no one, each might also be hiring a new general manager. The Browns dumped theirs along with Shurmur; Scott Pioli in K.C. and Buddy Nix in Buffalo appear to be living on borrowed time.  The Arizona Cardinals, for once, were going the Eagles/Bears route, only to dismiss coach Ken Whisenhunt and GM Rod Graves four years after those two produced a Super Bowl team.  The stench, as usual, flows from the top. In cases like this, it starts higher even than the guys who fired the coaches. It goes to the guys who hired them.
